Whilst I wouldn't have expected 'Dr Dave' to consider me one of his closest friends, like many people who knew him he was always charming, very sociable and happy for a catch up whenever we met. On one occasion I was lucky enough to be invited to the music shed at the bottom of the garden for a late night 'jam' session where I was handed a bass guitar and told to play it. Thankfully the high levels of alcohol numbed our ears, although I'm sure the epic 10min version of 'Love Cats' should have been recorded. A real gent who will be missed by all, our thoughts are with Liz, Alice and Ben Patrick, Emma and Felix
